Many of NIR’s members chose to participate when NIR & IMM co-arranged a webinar with anti-corruption expert José R Hernandez of Ortus Strategies as guest speaker.
The spread of the coronavirus has brought with it unprecedented challenges and uncertainty. For businesses priorities have shifted and the path forward leads into uncharted territory. At the same time, existing risks – such as those related to corruption and business integrity – continue to loom and may even take on greater importance as corporate leaders look to the future.
Over 130 representatives of Swedish business and organisations attended the webinar with guest speaker and anti-corruption expert José R. Hernandez, author of the book “Broken Business: Seven Steps to Reform Good Companies Gone Bad.
Secretary-General of IMM and moderator of the webinar Natali Engstam Phalén summed up the event saying that “the importance of business ethics is as important as ever and the sustainability challenges – with anti-corruption at its core – will most likely have increased post corona. The actions taken today will not only have effects in the short run but also in the long run and will determine how prepared your company is to face the new reality post-corona.”
